Romantic Bridge of Art Glass 02/19/2008
 February is the month for flowers, chocolates, and endearments, and with this in mind we call your attention to the Chihuly Bridge of Glass. It is a stunning concrete, steel and art glass structure that links the Thea Foss Waterway and the Museum of Glass in Tacoma, Washington. Completed in 2002, this commissioned artwork of Dale Chihuly (who was born in Tacoma) is the focal point, and the bridge is considered one of the area's most romantic places for watching the sunset. Tue, 26 Feb 2008 16:59:37 I could look at Chihuly glass all day long. What a beautiful photo. Whenever I go to Vegas I make a point of going to look at the Chihuly ceiling at the Bellagio. I'd love to see the Museum of Glass in Tacoma someday. Sun, 07 Sep 2008 08:56:28 I've been to the Museum of Glass and seen this bridge. It's remarkable! The Hot Shop is worth seeing too, as you can watch established and emerging glass artists create their work. Performance art at its finest! One project involves designing and creating a collection inspired by stained glass from the late 18th century and early 19th century, including mixed media art jewelry. And most of the time there is at least one stained glass lampshade in the shop, undergoing restoration.
