"For now we see through a glass darkly but then face to face. Now I know in part but then shall I know even as also I am known"
These words of hope appear in glass at the bottom of this Tiffany window, which in 1899 was dedicated to deacon B.E. Hooker. This is just one in a stunning collection at Center Church in Hartford, Connecticut, which was founded in 1632.
In the 1890's, one of Tiffany's chief designers was Frederick Wilson. Hope's slender, long nose, high cheekbones and overall elegant look hint that this window may very well be one of his.
